21 Year Old In Stable Condition After Hessville Shooting
On Saturday, July 23, 2022 at approximately 10:12 PM, Hammond Police were dispatched to the area of Alabama and Martha in reference to a shooting, according to Lt. Steve Kellogg.
Officers arrived and located a 21-year-old male who had been shot. The male subject was flown to a Chicago hospital where he remains in stable condition, Kellogg said.
Residents in the area reported hearing a large group of males in the area area fighting verbally before shots rang out, a witness told RNS.
Several suspects were located nearby and arrested, along with firearms which were located, police said. Further information will be made available when possible as this investigation is still active.
