April Snow Storm

A late season storm system will bring another round of accumulating snow to the area Thursday night into early Friday morning, according to NWS Thursday morning. There will be a period of moderate to heavy wet snow where snowfall rates may reach 1 inch per hour, NWS said. The most likely axis of highest totals is along and south of I-80. Expect the highest rates from 2 AM – 7 AM CDT Friday, which should snow/slush to accumulate on roadways.

Stay tuned to the latest forecasts should the axis of heaviest snow change slightly. A winter weather advisory is in effect for most of the area.
