Death Investigation Underway After Male Found In Hobart
On March 7, 2021 at approximately 6:12PM, the Hobart Police Department responded to the area of North Wilson Street and 40th Avenue (nearest cross street to the wooded area) in reference to an unconscious or deceased person in the woods, according to Captain James Gonzales of The Hobart Police.
Hobart Officers were met by the witnesses and then were taken to the area in the woods where they had seen the body. Officers observed a non-responsive male subject lying on the ground, Gonzales stated. The Officer reported that the male was deceased, he also reported that there weren’t any initial signs of any foul play.
Officers contacted the Lake County Coroner’s Office, and the decedent was transported to the Lake County Coroner’s Office for further investigation.
The subject was described as being a white male, 35 years of age from Hobart. The Lake County Coroner has not identified the male pending notification of the family. We will update the identification when notification is made.
