Man Airlifted After A Domestic Stabbing In Hobart
On Tuesday, May 25, 2021 around 9PM Hobart Police responded to the area of 900 Wet 38th Avenue in reference to a stabbing that had occurred, according to Captain James Gonzales.
Officers spoke to witnesses and the possible suspect on scene. Witnesses told police that the victim a 42 year old Hobart man was arguing with his 20 year old stepson, who is the suspect and the argument then turned physical. The witnesses told police that the victim began to assault his stepson and his stepson stabbed him with a pocketknife.
The victim was airlifted to a Chicago area hospital for treatment to his injuries, Gonzales said. This case is still under investigation and will be presented to the Lake County Prosecutor’s Office for potential charges.
