Minor Damage To Building After Car Collision Monday
Around 12:30 PM Monday, Hammond Fire Department was dispatched to vehicle accident on the 1500 block of Indianapolis Blvd at Arnie’s Dog House, according to Hammond Fire Chief Jeff Smith.
Two vehicles traveling north on Indy collided sending one of the vehicles into the building. At the time Arnie’s Dog House was closed which was a blessing to a witness saying, “There could have easily been a family outside the establishment.” There were no injuries reported in the incident, Smith told RNS. The building only suffered minor damages, Smith added. Indianapolis Blvd was temporarily shut down while crews worked the scene.
