Lansing Police Make Drug Bust After Tips
In October 2021, the Lansing Police Department received a tip from a citizen about possible drug activity occurring within village limits, according to Lansing Police. The Lansing Police Department’s Tactical Unit opened up a narcotics investigation based upon this information.
Pursuant to this investigation, the Lansing Police Department’s Tactical Unit obtained a search warrant for 2305 Holiday Terrace. The search warrant was executed on Friday, November 5, 2021 by the Lansing Police Department Emergency Response Team and Criminal Investigations Division. Joshua Centeno, 29 years old, was taken into custody without incident at the residence.
Approximately 6.5 kilograms of methamphetamine, 12 pounds of cannabis, 44 grams of cocaine, a grow operation canopy, ammunition, and a semiautomatic handgun were recovered from the residence.
Joshua Centeno was charged with numerous felonies to include: Armed Violence, Possession of Cocaine, Possession of Methaphetamine, and Possession of Cannabis. Additional felony charges are pending. Joshua Centeno was taken to the Cook County, Markham Courthouse for a bond hearing.
On Monday, November 8, 2021, Joshua Centeno appeared in front of a Cook County Judge and bond was set at $75,000.00 Mr. Centeno posted bond and has been released from the Cook County Jail, Lansing Police said. His next scheduled court date is in December.
