One Dead After Domestic Shooting In Lake Station
On Friday, September 2, 2022, officers of the Lake Station Police Department responded to a residence in the 2500 block of Morgan Street for a gunshot victim, according to Lake Station Police.
On arrival of officers the subject was pronounced dead at the scene, police stated. This was an isolated incident with all subjects involved being from the same household. The identity of the deceased has been released by The Lake County Coroner as William Jeffrey Doup Jr., 30. The cause of death was from multiple gunshot wounds and classified as a homicide.
There is no danger to the public at this time, and this investigation will remain open pending further information from The Lake County Coroner and the Lake County Prosecutor’s Office.
