Two Teens Shot & Killed In Gary Monday Morning
On Monday, October 3, 2022, at approximately 7:13 AM, the Gary Police Department received a call for service reference to male teen subjects down in the rear of a residence, located in the 2900 block of W. 11th Ave. in Gary, according to Commander Jack Hamady.
Officers arrived on scene and located two males in the rear of a residence laying on the ground unresponsive. The teens had wounds that were consistent with gunshot wounds to the body. Officers checked the two males and did not see any signs of life. Gary Fire Department arrived on scene and checked and advised the two were deceased, Hamady said.
The area was secured by patrol officers and Lake County Coroner’s Office was notified as well as Gary/Lake County Metro Homicide and Lake County Crime Lab.
The victims have since been identified by The Lake County Coroner as Dayvion Jones, 16, of Gary and Bobby Wright, 14, of Gary.
