Power Restored In St John After Crash
On December 16, 2022 at about 5:10 PM, St John Police were dispatched to the area of W. 93rd Avenue and Bramblewood Drive to investigate a single vehicle crash. On arrival, officers saw that the vehicle struck a NIPSCO utility pole, according to police.
The vehicle’s airbags were deployed but the driver of the vehicle, a 19-year-old St. John resident refused medical treatment and appeared to be uninjured. The crash broke the utility pole with electrical wires down causing a power outage in the area.
Power was fully restored to the area earlier this morning, shortly before 7:00 AM after NIPSCO replaced the pole and completed their repairs.
It is believed that the snowy weather conditions may have been a contributing factor in this crash.
