Man Shot In Glen Park After Confronting Vandals
Gary Police are investigating the shooting of a 20-year-old Glen Park man late Friday evening around 9 PM, according to Gary Police.
The victim told police that he confronted two teenagers known to him. He believed the two were responsible for vandalizing homes in his neighborhood. That evening as he was driving in the area of Ridge Road and Chase Street, he saw the teens and approached them. The victim began to fight with one of them and told police he was shot by the other teen. The teenagers then fled the scene. The victim was taken to the hospital.
