Sheriff Department Raids Hobart Weed House After Tip
A tip to the Lake County Sheriff’s Department Tip411 text platform led to a drug raid this morning; ending in the arrest of a 20-year-old Hobart man, according to Lake County Sheriff Oscar Martinez Jr.
At approximately 7 AM, the Lake County Drug Task Force and Lake County SWAT team executed a search warrant at the suspect’s home in the 500 block of South Lawrence Street in Hobart.
Officers seized:
• $49, 766 in U.S. currency
• 3 pistols
• 3 rifles
• 49.5 lbs. raw marijuana
• 1.2 lbs. packaged marijuana
• 5.2 lbs. prerolled cigars or cigarettes containing marijuana
• 38 lbs. gummy THC edibles
• 45.4 lbs wax (concentrated THC)
• 1/2lb mushrooms
• 1010 THC vape cartridges
Alexander Taylor is now in custody at the Lake County Jail pending criminal charges.
“I would like to commend the Lake County Drug Task Force and Lake County SWAT Team for their hard work and professionalism in bringing this suspect to justice,” Martinez said.
