No Injuries Reported In Schererville House Fire
Around 7:45 PM, Saturday, Schererville Fire Department was dispatched to a reported structure fire in the 500 block of Old Lincoln Highway, according to fire officials.
On arrival crews encountered a two story home with flames visible on the second floor. Multiple mutual aid departments were called in to assist on scene and station coverage. The family made it out the home safely and there was no reported injuries.
The fire was struck about 8:45 PM and believed to have started in an upstairs bedroom. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
