Two Killed In Fatal Motorcycle Accident
At approximately 5:30, Friday morning, police officers with the Lake County Sheriff’s Department were dispatched to the 12800 block of Whitcomb in unincorporated Crown Point for a motorcycle crash with two victims.
Upon arrival, officers found two males who had been riding the motorcycle lying in the yard of a home near 129th Court and Cedar Lake Road, according to Lake County Sheriff Oscar Martinez Jr.
The circumstances of the crash are still under investigation; but it appears that the motorcycle left the roadway and struck at least two trees.
Both the driver and passenger were pronounced deceased and are identified by the Lake County Coroner’s Office as:
Mark Bardeson, 32, of Hebron
Nicholas Jones, 29, of Hebron
The Lake County Sheriff’s Department Crash Reconstruction Unit is conducting the investigation.
