Portage Police Nab Another For Alleged Child Sex Crimes
On February 24, 2025, Portage Police were contacted in reference to a male attempting to solicit a 13 year old girl.
According to court documents, Portage Police were advised that the suspect was currently in Portage and would be at a meet up on HWY 6. The decoy told the suspect, identified as Noah D. Fronek, 28, of Crown Point, that she was on her way home with a friend and would meet at a specified location on US HWY 6 in Portage. Fronek texted the decoy and said he was on US HWY 6, and that he was waiting at a smoke shop.
Fronek was driving a white Chevrolet Silverado, which was located in front of the cigarette outlet. The Portage Officers spoke with the driver and only occupant of the vehicle, Noah Fronek. According to court documents, Fronek initially denied knowing what was going on and stated he had just gotten off work.
The officers spoke with the reporting party, who advised the police that the communication started on Grindr and then moved to regular text messages. According to court documents, the police observed messages where the decoy tells Fronek she was 13 years old. Fronek replies and tells her that she does not look 13. The decoy says, sorry, we don’t have to talk. In the messages, Fronek says, we can still talk, just no “fuck*** lol.” He immediately starts asking for a photo, and then asks the decoy if she was a virgin. Fronek proceeds to ask many more sexually related questions. Additionally, there were several other sexually explicit messages in which Fronek described what he was going to do to the girl when he came over.
According to court documents, Fronek was asked by the police if he wanted to tell them what was really going on, and how he ended up in Portage. He stated “bad decisions.” He could not explain why he came to Portage that evening. Fronek also admitted to talking to the decoy for maybe a day, and that he was communicating with her through SnapChat and text messages. Fronek stated that he met her through Grindr. Fronek further stated that he thought the decoy was 13 years of age, and he is 27 years old.
