Fatal Crash Monday Morning In Unincorporated Dyer
Today, at approximately 5:20 AM, the Will County, IL Sheriff’s Department requested the Lake County Sheriff’s Department to respond to a single vehicle crash that occurred near the intersection of West 113th Ave. and State Line Rd. in unincorporated Dyer, according to Sheriff Oscar Martinez Jr. Upon arrival, Patrol officers observed that the driver was unresponsive.
A preliminary investigation indicates a 1995 Chevy Tahoe was traveling north on State Line Rd. When the SUV approached W. 113th Ave., the SUV rolled onto its right side and left the roadway. The SUV struck a tree on the Will County side of the state line.
The driver was pronounced deceased at the scene. The Lake County Coroner has not released the driver’s identity.
Investigators are still working to determine factors that played a role in the crash, Martinez said.
