Gary Police Investigating Good Friday Homicide Which Also Injured Two Teens
On April 18, 2025, at 5:43 PM, the Gary Police Department responded to reports of multiple gunshot victims in the 3500 block of Massachusetts Street, in Gary.
Upon arrival, officers were directed by citizens to the scene, where they found three individuals who had sustained gunshot injuries: a 16-year-old male, an 18-year-old male, and a 34-year-old male, all from Gary.
The 16-year-old male and an 18-year-old male from Gary were both transported to Methodist Northlake Hospital for further treatment. The 34-year-old male from Gary was pronounced deceased at the scene. The Lake County Coroner has identified the deceased as Marcus Williams, 34, of Gary.
