Stabbing Suspect Apprehended In Portage After Semi Pursuit and Crash

On Sunday, June 15, 2025, at 7:55 a.m., the Germantown, Wisconsin Police Department Communications Center received two 911 calls reporting a stabbing that took place at an apartment in the 11000 block of Legend Ave., in the Village of Germantown, according to Germantown Police.

Information was received that the suspect fled from the scene in an unknown vehicle. Officers from the Germantown Police Department and the Germantown Fire Department responded to the scene.

A Germantown Police Department lieutenant was the first to arrive on scene and was met by a 15-year-old female who reported that her mother, was bleeding. While the lieutenant was tending to the 41-year-old female stabbing victim, it was learned that the 15-year-old had also been injured in this incident.

The Germantown Fire Department arrived and took over emergency medical care of both victims. The 15-year-old victim was taken by Germantown Fire Department Ambulance to Children’s Hospital in Wauwatosa, Wisconsin for her injuries and the 41-year-old victim was also taken by Germantown Fire Department Ambulance to Froedtert Hospital in Wauwatosa, Wisconsin for life threatening injuries.

A suspect was identified and through investigation, the suspect was believed to be in Gary, Indiana at a gas station in a semi truck. With the assistance of the Indiana State Police, Lake County Police, and Gary Police Department, after a pursuit and crash, the suspect was taken into custody in Portage.

The semi crashed off a bridge on Willowcreek Road and was taken into custody after a brief foot pursuit in a wooded area.

Charges are pending in Wisconsin and Indiana. The suspects name was not released when this information was posted.
