Griffith Man Arrested in Child Pornography Case Following Federal and State Investigation
A 56-year-old Griffith man is facing multiple felony charges following a joint investigation led by the United States Secret Service and the Indiana Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force.
Brian C. Sadowski was formally charged on July 11, 2025. According to court documents, the case stems from an extensive investigation involving digital forensic analysis, online surveillance, and coordination between federal, state, and local law enforcement agencies.
Authorities allege that Sadowski used a peer-to-peer file sharing network to access and store illegal material in violation of Indiana law. Investigators executed a search warrant at his Griffith residence on July 10, after linking his internet service to suspicious activity. During an interview with investigators, Sadowski reportedly made statements acknowledging his involvement.
According to court documents, the materials in question depicted victims believed to be as young as 3 years old, with multiple files involving children under the age of 12.
Following the interview, Sadowski wrote a handwritten statement expressing remorse. In the note, he states,
“My loneliness or past physical abuse is not an excuse to look or seek this type of content. I know I made the mistake and take full accountability of my choices.”
All of this occurred in Lake County, Indiana.
Sadowski was lodged in the Lake County Jail on July 10, 2025.
The investigation was conducted with the combined efforts of the United States Secret Service, Indiana State Police, Lake County Sheriff’s Department, and Griffith Police Department.
