Meth trafficking charges filed against Gary brothers after chase
According to court documents, Jerrold Cannon Parker, 58, and his brother, Allen M. Parker Jr., 57, both of Gary, have been charged after investigators linked them to a series of methamphetamine sales and a police pursuit that cut through a public park.
Investigators reported that four methamphetamine transactions were conducted on August 22, August 27, August 29, and September 4, 2025, at or near a Citgo station by 15th Avenue and Chase Street in Gary. Each deal involved amounts of approximately 28 grams or more, which field-tested positive for methamphetamine. Police said Jerrold Parker arranged the sales while Allen Parker acted as the driver in multiple instances.
After the September 4 operation, officers attempted to stop a Chevy Silverado driven by Allen Parker. The vehicle fled through Tolleston Park Playground while children were present before stopping near West 17th Avenue. A police vehicle sustained more than $800 in damage during the attempted stop. Both brothers were taken into custody at the scene.
Detectives later executed a search warrant at a residence in the 2000 block of Taft Street, where they reported locating a Taurus revolver in the basement area linked to Jerrold Parker. Court records show Jerrold has a prior federal conviction for conspiracy to distribute cocaine in 1999.
