Police Say La Porte Man Exposed Himself and Humped Patrol Car After Being Removed From Gas Station

La Porte- A La Porte man was arrested after authorities say he refused to leave a Family Express convenience store, hurled objects at an employee, and later performed lewd acts against a police vehicle near a busy intersection.

According to court documents, officers were dispatched around 4:29 p.m. on October 1, 2025, to the Family Express at 1874 U.S. 20 after a caller reported an unwanted guest described as a man harassing customers and screaming outside the store. The man, later identified as 41-year-old Allen J. Gallacher of La Porte, was reportedly throwing items at people after being told to leave.

When officers arrived, employees said the suspect had left and might be near the cemetery south of the business. He was soon spotted sitting on a hill in front of a church sign, visible to heavy traffic along State Road 39.

Reports indicate Gallacher was immediately aggressive toward officers, shouting obscenities, refusing to identify himself, and repeatedly yelling profanity. He was detained for safety after continuing to curse and ignore commands.

During a search, a jacket that had been tied around his waist fell, exposing his genitals. He then made explicit remarks directed at the officers. While being escorted to a patrol vehicle, Gallacher allegedly pressed his genitals against a police vehicle’s front bumper and began humping the car, loudly shouting inappropriate phrases. Despite repeated orders to stop, he continued until being secured and placed inside the patrol car.

Charges filed October 2, 2025:

    •    Resisting Law Enforcement – Misdemeanor A

    •    Disorderly Conduct – Misdemeanor B

Gallacher was lodged in the La Porte County Jail following his arrest.
