Highland Man Charged After Alleged Domestic Battery and Confinement Incident in Hammond
Jaron J. Hosein, 32, of Highland, is facing multiple charges following an alleged domestic violence incident that occurred on November 24, 2025, at a residence in the 4600 block of Cameron Avenue in Hammond.
According to a probable cause affidavit, Hammond police were dispatched to the residence in reference to a domestic battery. Officers made contact with the victim, who reported she had been involved in an argument with her boyfriend, Hosein, that escalated into a physical altercation. The victim stated Hosein accused her of cheating and punched her multiple times in the face, causing pain and injury to her right eye.
The affidavit states that during the altercation, when the victim attempted to leave the residence and call police, Hosein physically grabbed her, took her cellular phone, and prevented her from contacting law enforcement. Officers reported the victim had fresh swelling and bruising to her right eye and appeared visibly shaken. An evidence technician documented and photographed the injuries, which were described as consistent with a recent physical altercation and a moderate bodily injury caused by being struck in the face.
Investigators also reviewed body-worn camera footage in which the victim stated that Hosein locked the door to the residence, preventing her from leaving. The victim reported she was ultimately able to escape the home and run to a neighbor’s residence to seek help. Her statements captured on body-worn camera were consistent with the responding officer’s observations and the physical evidence documented at the scene.
Court records further note a prior domestic-related incident involving the same parties in August 2025 at the same residence, as well as prior domestic battery charges involving Hosein in Cook County, Illinois, in 2023 and 2025.
