According to a probable cause affidavit, police began investigating after Franciscan St. Anthony’s Hospital, located at 12750 St. Francis Drive in Crown Point, reported receiving a threatening phone call on November 20, 2025, at approximately 11:32 a.m.

The affidavit states the call lasted approximately 11 seconds and came from a phone number later traced to Chamberlain. During the call, a male voice allegedly stated:

“The nurse who was involved incident with that black female better be identified and she better be identified by the end of next week or I’m gonna blow your fucking hospital up.”

According to court documents, after further discussion, Chamberlain admitted that he did make the threatening phone call after seeing a news report involving a pregnant woman who he believed had been denied medical care. The affidavit states Chamberlain told investigators that out of anger, he called the hospital and threatened to “blow it up.”
