Man Hit On Scooter Transported To Hospital In Hobart
Around 7:30pm Thursday a man was traveling on a scooter / wheelchair Eastbound on 61st Ave in Hobart when he was struck by a SUV traveling the same direction, Hobart Police told Region News. Police say the SUV was making a Northbound turn onto Route 51 when the driver clipped the scooter unintentionally knocking the man off of it. The man on the scooter was wearing dark clothing and nothing to illuminate the scooter according to witnesses. The man on the scooter suffered minor injuries to his face and complained about shoulder pain which led him to being transported to St. Mary’s Hospital, Captain James Gonzales of The Hobart Police told Region News. The driver of the SUV was not cited.
