Hobart Burglary Suspect Captured
On March 18, 2020 at approximately 9:30 AM, Christopher Russell was taken into custody by our partners with the U.S. Marshals Great Lakes Regional Task Force. Russell was taken into custody at his sister’s home located on 110th Street in Chicago, he is currently being held at the Cook County Jail and is waiting to be extradited to Indiana on a level 4 Burglary warrant.
Russell is accused of burglarizing a home on the 3800 block of Sandusky Street on March 7, 2020. On March 9, 2020, charges were filed through the Lake County Prosecutor’s Office and a warrant was issued for his arrest. The Hobart Police Department is appreciative of the U.S. Marshals Great Lakes Regional Task Force for their continued assistance.
