Hammond Man Killed In Motorcycle Accident Wednesday
On Wednesday, August 26th, at approximately 3:30 p.m., Hammond Police were dispatched to the 700 block of Willow Court in reference to an accident involving a motorcycle, according to Lt. Steve Kellogg of the Hammond Police. Investigators learned that a motorcycle driven by 27-year-old Shawn Bishop from Hammond was traveling west on Willow Court when a vehicle attempted an unsafe turn into the path of the motorcycle. Mr. Bishop driving was killed during the collision, Kellogg said. There were no injuries to the other driver. Alcohol was not a factor in the accident, police confirmed.
