Homeless Man Battered After Making Racial Slurs In Griffith
Around 6:30pm Monday evening Griffith Police responded to a report of a disturbance at Walgreens located at 407 W. Glen Park Ave, according to Detective Jim Sibley of The Griffith Police.
It was learned on arrival that a homeless person asking for money had made racial slurs to a couple after being denied money, Sibley stated.
The couple departed Walgreens parking lot in a vehicle, but returned and a man assaulted the homeless person, Police said. The man attempted to flee upon police arrival but was apprehended. He was charged with Resisting Law Enforcement and Battery, according to Police.
