Alleged Carjacker Arrested After Pursuit In Lake Station

Lake Station Police made an arrest of an alleged armed carjacker suspect from Chicago Sunday night after police pulled up on a car stopped in the middle of the road around 9:45 PM.

The stolen Silver Buick, occupied once by the driver quickly fled from the Lake Station Officer leading to a brief pursuit through Lake Station. The suspect rammed one squad car during the incident before he was taken into custody, Lake Station Police Chief James Richardson told RNS. The pursuit ended on 2700 Central in Lake Station at Lake Station Gas Stop. The officer was not injured during the incident, Richardson added.

The suspects name is being withheld pending charges. Check back for updates.
