Area Positive COVID-19 Cases Continue To Rise – 31 In Lake County
Lake County now has 31 confirmed cases of COVID-19 as testing still stands 5-14 days behind. The numbers you see are reflecting the first weeks cases still at this point according to The Department of Health. One death was added to Jasper County Indiana as of Thursday. Hundreds of pending tests are currently waiting results in Lake County as of Thursday as hospital beds continue to fill up and treat presumed cases of COVID-19. Governor Holcomb continues to stress the importance of social distance and sheltering in place. With nice weather over the next week parents are reminded that Indiana & Illinois playgrounds are off limits as they pose a high risk to spreading the virus.
