Boost Mobile Held Up At Gun Point

On January 24th, at approximately 12:40 p.m., Hammond police responded to an alarm at the Boost Mobile store located in the 2700 block of 169th street, Lt. Steve Kellogg of The Hammond Police stated. Upon arrival, officers spoke with the victims who stated that a black male, wearing a red, white, and black coat, entered the business and pointed a handgun at the clerk demanding they place items into a duffle bag. The employees complied and the suspect fled the store with several phones and an undisclosed amount of money. No one was hurt during the incident, Kellogg said.
