Boyfriend Shoots Girlfriend After Argument

On October 12, at approximately 3 AM, the Gary Police were dispatched to Northlake Methodist Hospital for a shooting victim that arrived in a blue Chevy Impala, according to Gary Police.

At the hospital officers spoke with a 56-year-old Gary resident who told the police that she was in the area of 21st or 23rd and Morton Street on Gary’s west side when she and her boyfriend began to argue. The victim stated that her boyfriend demanded that she get in his car. When she refused and began to walk away from him, he started shooting at her striking her in the right leg. A witness to the shooting told the police that the victim was transported to the hospital by her boyfriend.
