Bullet Grazes Woman Driving On Cline
At approximately 11:30 PM, Friday, November 10, 2023, officers of the Griffith Police Department responded to the east bound ramp of Interstate 80/94 from Cline Ave reference the Indiana State Police advising of a female driver that had sustained a non-penetrating gunshot wound, according to Griffith Police. It was determined that the incident occurred on Cline Ave and River Rd.
The victim heard what she thought was a rock hit her vehicle when she started to feel a burning sensation and pulled over, police said.
A dark colored truck with tinted windows was the only vehicle the victim observed in the area at the time before the incident.
The victim was treated and released from the hospital.
