Calumet City Fire Destroys Pub
Around 8:37 AM Tuesday, neighbors called 911 after seeing smoke coming from Lauer’s Pub, located at 31 154th Place in Calumet City, according to Calumet City Fire Chief Glenn Bachert.
The business was closed at the time and no injuries were reported. Arriving firefighters reported heavy smoke and were able to contain it to that building. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
Calumet City Fire Department was assisted by South Holland, Lansing and Thornton fire departments.
