Calumet City Police Arrest Two Involved Dolton Carjacking Sunday Morning
Dolton Police responded to the Shell Gas Station located on 1445 E Sibley Blvd at 5:51 AM Sunday, for an Aggravated Vehicular Hijacking, according to Dolton Police.
The victim told Dolton Officers that he pulled up to the store of the gas station and went inside. While inside he observed a Dark Blue Dodge Grand Caravan pull up next to his vehicle and a male black subject exited and began to open the driver door on his Nissan Maxima. The victim exited the store to stop the theft attempt at which time the rear passenger offender in the Grand Caravan displayed a semi-automatic pistol and the offender in the drivers seat of the grand caravan yelled “shoot him”. The victim then backed away and the first offender proceeded to enter his vehicle and both vehicles fled east on Sibley Blvd into Calumet City.
Shortly after Calumet City Police officers were in pursuit of both vehicles involved. The Victims vehicle was lost at 130th St exiting I-94 North, however the Dodge Caravan was pursued by Calumet City Police and ISP officers until the vehicle and two occupants were taken into custody at I-57 and 138th St, according to Dolton Police. The identities of the two captured is pending charges.
