Charges Filed For Predatory Criminal Sexual Assault Of A Child
On December 5, 2022 the Steger Police Department took a report for sexual misconduct from a mother of a 11-year-old, according to a police press release.
The mother reported her boyfriend inappropriately touched her 11 year old daughter. Through further investigation charges were sought for the arrest of Paris Obryant, 41, of Chicago, IL. Investigators obtained a warrant for Predatory Criminal Sexual Assault of a Child.
Investigators further learned Obryant is registered through the Illinois State Police in the Murder and Violent Offender Against Youth Registry. Due to being a Registered Offender and making past statements about not going back to prison, The South Suburban Emergency Response Team was summoned to affect the arrest. Obryant was taken into custody without further incident.
Obryant was processed and transported to the Will County Adult Detention Facility to await a bond hearing.
