Chesterton Man Charged With Felony Child Solicitation In Jasper County
Tilon Nathani Woodard, 19, of Chesterton, has been charged in Jasper County following an investigation into alleged online communications involving a minor.
According to a probable cause affidavit filed January 20, 2026, deputies were dispatched on January 18, 2026, at approximately 9:07 p.m. to 100 block of Robbins Street in Jasper County regarding a report of a male subject attempting to meet a 13-year-old female.
Court documents state that upon arrival, deputies spoke with a male identified as being affiliated with NWI Predators, who reported he had been acting as a 13-year-old female decoy on a dating application. The individual stated he was contacted by Tilon Woodard, who began messaging him through the application and later continued communication through a separate texting application.
The affidavit states the decoy informed Woodard that she was 13 years old and would be turning 14 the following month. Court records indicate Woodard acknowledged that the age was “too young” for him because he was 19 years old, but despite that acknowledgment, continued messaging the decoy.
According to the affidavit, Woodard stated he wanted a romantic relationship with the decoy while knowing she was 13 years old. The document states Woodard asked the decoy if she wanted to hang out that evening, go for a drive, and watch a movie in his car. The affidavit further states Woodard told the decoy he also wanted to make out with her.
Court records indicate the decoy agreed to meet, and the individual provided deputies with text messages and additional evidence related to the communication.
According to the affidavit, Woodard told deputies he believed he was meeting someone who was 19 years old. When questioned about messages stating the female was 13 years old and would be 14 the following month, Woodard acknowledged seeing those messages but stated he did not believe them because the dating profile listed the age as 19.
