Child Solicitation Arrest Of Munster Man At I-65 Truck Stop
Jasper County deputies arrested Denim Lee Cowan, 30, of Munster, after an investigation into an alleged child solicitation.
According to court records, a group called NWI Predator Catchers alerted deputies after online messages showed Cowan arranging to meet who he believed was a 13-year-old girl for sexual activity at the TA Truck Stop. Deputies reviewed the messages, which were initiated on an online dating app , where Cowan admitted he was 30 and continued the conversation after being told the age.
Cowan was taken into custody at the truck stop but attempted to resist and run from deputies before being secured. He is now charged with:
- Child Solicitation (Level 4 Felony)
- Resisting Law Enforcement (Class A Misdemeanor)
He remains held in the Jasper County Jail pending further proceedings. All suspects are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
