Conservation Officers Investigating Poaching Of A Deer In Hammond

Indiana Conservation Officers are investigating after a deer was shot sometime after midnight Tuesday morning in the area of New York Avenue and 125th Place in Hammond, according to a release.

The deer ran through several yards and was drug to a nearby vehicle, officials said.

Anyone with any information is asked to contact Indiana Conservation Officers at 812-837-9536. ICO’s were assisted at the scene by the Hammond Police Department and Whiting Police Department.
