Crash Leaves One Dead Friday Morning
Friday morning shortly before 3AM a vehicle crash and roll over left one man dead in Hammond on the 3100 block of Michigan Ave.
Hammond Fire and Police were dispatched around 2:47AM to the curve on Michigan Ave just south of the Toll Road Friday and found one male deceased on scene. Initial investigation shows that a vehicle was traveling at a high rate of speed and left the roadway flipping onto it’s roof, according to Lt. Steve Kellogg of the Hammond Police. The Lake County Coroner was notified 3AM. The Lake County Coroner has identified the victim as Andre Brown Jr., 28, of Gary.
