Crown Point Man Charged With Child Solicitation & Sexual Battery
A Crown Point male has been charged with multiple felonies after an August 2023 incident involving a 13-year-old girl.
Court records state that in August of 2023 a 13-year-old Crown Point girl left home without her mother’s permission to go to a friend’s house. While at the friends home the girl was introduced to a male who told her he was 17, but the girl later learned the male was 18 while the group was hanging out. The girl made it clear to the male at that time she was 13.
During the hangout the group finished drinking some alcoholic beverages and the girl took a ride with the male who was still drinking while driving, according to court documents. The pair also consumed some marijuana and an edible during the ride. The male then brought the girl back to his home near the Crown Point Square where they watched a movie.
During the movie the male asked the girl to perform oral sex and then asked to have intercourse to which she refused both advances. The male then forcefully grabbed her hand and placed it on his genitals over his clothes. The girl pulled her hand away and said no, according to court records. The girl said she began feeling tired from the gummies while the male was laying there and dozed off. While she was asleep she woke to the male rubbing his exposed genitals on her backside with his hands on her waist. The girl was later given a ride back to her home the next morning.
The male in question has since been identified as Noah Villarreal, 18, of Crown Point. Villarreal declined to make a statement to police on this matter.
Villarreal made headlines last month after he and another male committed an armed robbery during a DoorDash delivery in Cedar Lake. He was currently out on bond for that offense.
Villarreal was later charged and picked up then lodged at the Lake County Jail for the following:
2 counts of Child Solicitation- Level 5 Felonies
Sexual Battery – Level 6 Felony
Contributing to the Delinquency of a Minor – Class A Misdemeanor
Battery – Class B Misdemeanor
