Crown Point Police Investigating Crash & Shots Fired
Crown Point Police were on scene of an early morning crash and possible shots fired call according to eyewitnesses on the 12400 block of Connecticut around 12:30am Tuesday.
Homeowners in the area describe hearing multiple shots being fired before hearing a loud crash and coming outside to see a car that ran down a small tree then crashed into a parked car and an attached garage of a home. Police were on scene investigating through the early morning hours Tuesday. Witnesses told Region News police recovered a few shell casings near the road and later placed a suspect / driver of the vehicle under arrest. It is believed that a gun was found in the crashed vehicle. Crown Point Police were not immediately available for comment.
