Crown Point Police Release Further Details On Crash
Crown Point Police released further information concerning the fatal crash that occurred Wednesday morning in the 9800 block of Broadway.
Police say on May 26th at 8:31 AM, a 2018 Peterbilt dump truck had slowed for on coming traffic ahead to clear so the driver could make a left turn. While the dump truck was waiting for traffic to clear, a 2010 GMC Acadia crashed into the truck from behind, according to Police.
The dump truck driver, a 52 year old Gary Man was uninjured. The driver of the Acadia was declared deceased on scene. The driver was identified as Ann Marie Klobucar, 30, of Highland. Neither vehicle had passengers, police added.
The Crown Point Police Crash Reconstruction Team is expected to have a final report in several weeks.
