Crown Point Police Seeking Theft Suspects

On January 23, 2021, at approximately 2:20 PM the Crown Point Police Department responded to a reported theft that had occurred at Blue Ribbon Vintage, located at 111 W. Joliet St., according to Assistant Chief Jim Janda of The Crown Point Police.

Upon arrival the officer was advised that 30 minutes prior, two black male subjects came into the business and began to suspiciously walk around while speaking on their phones. One of the suspects then distracted the employee while the other suspect grabbed a tray of costume jewelry containing about 50 assorted items and fled the store in an unknown direction, Janda stated.

Suspects were described as follows:

Suspect (1): Male Black, about 30-40 yrs. old, build: medium, afro fade, wearing: a surgical mask, navy/royal blue ‘Tommy Hilfiger” retro puffer jacket (w/ white sleeves), dark jeans, and dark gym shoes. 

Suspect (2): Male Black, about 30-40 yrs. old, build: heavy-set, wearing: a surgical mask, gray hooded sweatshirt jacket ‘Polo Ralph Lauren’, blue jeans, black boots.
