Deer Enters Munster Business Overnight
Munster Police were called around 7:00 AM, Sunday, for a possible burglar inside The Door Store in the 200 block of Ridge Road.
The owner of Top Tier Nutrition, Anthony Christopher, made the initial 911 call to police after he entered his business and heard a commotion in the neighboring business. On arrival police found the front glass of the Door Store shattered and a deer inside the business. Police contacted the key holder to open the other doors and eventually were able to get the deer out of the business.
Door Store employees told RNS, there is not much damage besides the front door and a bit of blood inside we are cleaning up. The deer didn’t appear to be harmed besides some cuts from the glass.
This was not the first “deer burglar” in recent weeks in Munster. Just a few weeks back a deer smashed through the front door of Ridge Dental Care in the 600 block of Ridge and had to be helped out of the business.
