Demotte Male Charged With Child Molesting
On November 22, 2024, Demotte Police were contacted by a person who was reporting that her 9 year old daughter had been touched inappropriately by a male subject named, Maverick Danger Hildebrand, who is 18 years old.
The child had disclosed the inappropriate touching to a school employee, who then reported it to Child Protective Services, according to court documents. The child described 3 incidents that all occurred on the same day after school. The incidents took place near the end of the school year 2024. The child stated that she lives close to the residence of Maverick Danger Hildebrand and his sister. Hildebrand had taken his sister and the victim to play on the playground at Demotte Elementary School, which is where the first alleged incident took place, according to the Probable Cause Affidavit. Later, at Hildebrand’s residence, the other 2 incidents occurred and involved photographs.
During his interview, Hildebrand admitted that he had been at the playground with the victim. According to the court documents, Hildbrand did not admit that he inappropriately touched the child, but did admit that he has sexual fantasies which stem from children younger than age 16. When he was asked if he was curious about the victim, he stated, ”not just the victim in general, just younger, fully-“ He was asked if he recalled having different fantasies, some of them being sexual in nature, to which Hildebrand replied, ”that’s always been a thing since I was younger growing up.” When questioned about having fantasies regarding the incident at the playground with the victim, Hildebrand gave no immediate answer and asked to have a minute to think about it. Hildebrand then stated, “I can’t tell you what happened because I don’t fully remember what happened that day…. I do recall always having fantasies about women and different things sexually, non-sexually, just in general thinking about new things…”
Maverick Danger Hildebrand has been charged with:
Count I – Child Molesting- fondling or touching with a child under age 14 – Level 4 felony
Count II – Possession of child pornography- Level 5 felony
