Dirt Bike Driver Failed To Realize How To Stop For Police
On October 8, 2022 at approximately 12:27 PM, Porter County Sheriff Officers attempted to stop a male on a dirt bike traveling at a high rate of speed in the area of McCool & 700N, according to a report.
The officer activated his lights and sirens attempting to stop the Yamaha. The rider slowed and turned around to look at the officer before accelerating and fleeing. The rider recklessly blew through numerous stop signs before crashing on a turn at 450W.
The driver was immediately handcuffed and was complaining of knee pain in both legs. The rider was transported to the hospital and released before being lodged at The Porter County Jail.
The rider was identified as Aaron Langwinski, 22, of Chesterton. Langwinski was charged with Resisting Law Enforcement with a vehicle (Level 6 Felony)
