Preliminary investigation by Porter Police suggests the driver was going above the posted speed limit of 30 mph prior to going airborne and crashing into a tree approximately 50 ft off the roadway. A blood draw for alcohol was done and the results are pending. It also appears the female driver was not wearing a seatbelt. A K9 was also in the vehicle but was uninjured.
