Dyer Police Investigating Shooting
On Wednesday, December 16, 2020 around 5:17PM Dyer Police were dispatched to the 800 block of Polk for a disturbance, according to Dyer Police Chief David Hein.
A 16-year-old victim called police and said he had an altercation with a dark colored sedan. The victim said the altercation became physical and then he was shot in the chest, Hein stated. The vehicle then fled south on Polk to Barberry Street where they continued East. The victims injuries do not appear to life threatening. Police are in the area canvassing at this time looking for video.
