EC Man Pleads Guilty To Cocaine Distribution
Bryant Love, 45 years old, of East Chicago, Indiana, was sentenced by U.S. District Court Judge Philip P. Simon after pleading guilty to two counts of Distribution of Cocaine Base, one count of Possession with Intent to Distribute Cocaine Base, and one count of Felon in Possession of a Firearm, announced United States Attorney Thomas L. Kirsch II.
Love received a sentence of 96 months in prison followed by 6 years of supervised release.
According to documents in the case, on two separate occasion in December of 2016, Love sold cocaine base to a confidential informant in East Chicago, Indiana. On December 20, 2016, law enforcement executed a search warrant at Love’s East Chicago residence and seized cocaine base and two firearms. At the time, Love was prohibited from possessing a firearm because he was a convicted felon.
This case was investigated by the Federal Bureau of Investigation GRIT Task Force and the Hammond Police Department. This case was prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Jennifer Chang.
