Three Dead After Crash On 55 Thursday Morning
A triple fatal head on collision occurred in unincorporated Crown Point near 145th & 55 (Grant) Thursday morning around 8 AM.
55 was closed in both directions as Lake County Sheriff Crash Reconstruction Team investigated the accident through early afternoon Thursday. Two victims died on scene and a third was transported to an area trauma center in serious condition where she later succumbed to her injuries.
The Lake County Coroner has identified three victims from this accident. Renata Johnson, 76, of Lowell and Johnnie Johnson, 80, of Lowell. The third victim succumbed to her injuries at Southlake Methodist and has been identified as Ashlie Patz, 34, of Hebron.
