Fatal Motorcycle Crash on US 20
At approximately 5:39 PM, Sunday, a Motorcycle was traveling westbound on US Highway 20 (according to witnesses he was traveling at a high rate of speed – weaving in and out of traffic), according to the Porter County Sheriff’s Office. While changing lanes in the area of Brummitt Road, he hit the back of a tow truck and was launched off the motorcycle.
The male motorcycle rider was wearing a helmet, but unfortunately succumbed to his injuries. The Sheriff Department did not provide further information and the identification of the deceased is pending family notifications.
